The Evening Unit of the United
Church Women held their meeting.
January 0th, in the church par-
lour.
Barbara McCuteueon conducted
a. 'short worship period with the
theme based on the old and new
year. Mary Bryans, Viola Machan,
Gert Kellington and Linda Patter-
son took part.
Barb introduced the guest
speaker for the evening, Mrs. D.
Docken from, Walton, -who led a
very interesting and informative
discussion on drugs. Jean Bridge
thanked the speaker on behalf of
the members and guests.
,The president, Ada Smith, eon,
ducted the business in a Very
capable manner and the commit-
tee, Marie LeDrew and Isabel
Wheeler served a tasty lunch.
About thirty visitors and meinh-
ers attended the meeting,

Grand Entertains Officers
On Thursday evening January
7th, Sarah Stephenson,. Noble
Grand of Morning Star Rebekah
Lodge, entertained her officers, in.
her home.
During the evening progressive
euchre was played with Sister
Edna Pearson and Sister Dorothy
Ritchie winning the prizes,
Sister Sarah served a delicious
smorgasbord supper at the .close
of the evening.

Wingham Hospital.
He was horn in Grey Township,

date that we will go to the Ice
Capades and what. would be our
