Grey Central Horne And
School Association Meeting
The April meeting of the Grey
Central Home & School was held
en ApriI 9 at the school with a
good attendance. The Treasurer
reported that $27.8.8 had been
cleared from the Fakhlon Show in
Mareh. The Centennial CoMmit-
tee of Grey had n sum of rnori6, on
hand which was divided among
local Institutes and the Home k,
School. There was a. stiritilation
that the Home & School use their
share, $17.32, for the children's
benefit. Members are to have sug-
gestions for the use of this money
for the May meeting.
It was approved to send two
delegates to the Animal Meeting
or the fTeme & School Association,
to be held at the King Edward
Hotel, Toronto, an May' 5,
Mr. Axtmann reported that the
parents were to come to the
school to pick up the Progress
Reports or the pupils. This is a
means of parents and ,tearrhers
meeting and discussing problems.
Fie is interested in hearing com-
ments of this method after it has
been giVen a trial. Mr. Artmann
also- stated that milk was koing to
be made available to the pupils in
the future at 1.0c a half pint.
Miss Thomas introduced the
guest speaker, Mr. Me. enzie,
Master of StratfOrd Teacher's'
College, He gave an enlightening
talk on methods of introducing;
discovering, and teaching Math-
eina,ties. He stressed that it was
mistake to refer to NeW Math,
nut rather i should be New Meth-
ods of teaching Math. 'Re also
