BRUSSELS MIDGETS SUFFER DEFEATS The Brussels Midgets were humbled over the weekend, by two obviously superior teams. nis superiority Was evident in the way in which our visitors could skate, pass and stick handle, with emphasis on the skating. Lack of practice time has plagu- ed the local team. They are ol 7 viously not lacking in ability but only in a chance to develop it. So all we can soy is "Wait until tie playoffs". On Friday night the Midgets stayed with Blyth until the early part of the third period when they trailed the visitors 3-2 on goals by Murray McDonald and Murray Workman. Then the roof fell in. 13lyth scored four straight goals and beat Brussels 7-2. Monday night the visiting Tees- water 'Bantams scored a goal with 2 seconds remaining to edge the Brussels boys Ii to 4. Scoring for ,Brussels were: Corald Rohe- der, Prue° Struthers. Rick Mc, Donald. David Thomas. Phillip Blake added two assists. Then the Migels wee swahimi by Lticknow, 13-1. -Murray Xolling- toil Was the lone scOrer for 1lata- 861S, Obit' up boys and keep WOlik, ing.
