home,
Or all my kaleidoscopic im-
pressions of Asmo there is one
which comes blazing above theta
all, It is the impression that here,
among the glittering best and the
competitive, nittionalistiii pride, of
62 countries, is the great co-oper-
ative spirit of monkind.
Expo planners who adopted
the Mau and Ills World theme
and the sub-themes which also un-
derline the hopeful Spirit of, our
world, can lake much Credit.

have so responded to the theme
that the mood and the spirit of
Expo unmistakably communicate
time message that, Man's hope is
above all nations. f,0 u(, almost
feels this message while walking
over the waters of the St. Law-
, erice on. Cosmos Bridge, the
link between the gigantic inspir-
ing displays of the United States,
and the Union of Soviet Soc-
ialist Republics.)
,As a Canadian naturally I am,
proud that this great international
gathering is taking place in my
country. .1.1ut nwch more signifi-
cant to me is that the message of
;tint Alai, positiAe spirit, of
!mutt reverberating from the
islands are so iii harmony with
all that is synitiel[zed by our' 1

us who, in the past few yearS,
have been close to EI.Xpo planning

a bit blase on opening day. It
turned out that, despite all our
advance knowledge and familiarity
with Canada's greatest Centennial
