held at the home of Mrs. Jim
McDonald, Wednesday evening,

Bolger opened the meeting with
the Call to . Worship, Ilyuiu 02
"Shepherds Watcned Their
Sloe's By Night" was sung anu
Mrs. Alvin McDonald led in
Prayer. Mrs. Clarence Martin read
the scripture from Luke: 2 3 -ZU,
Mrs. Rae, Houston gave a reauiag
and read two poems, hymn 59s
"Away In A Manager" was sung.
The topic "The uhristmas Story"
according to Luke,. was taken by
Mrs, Harold Bolger, also an
article "God So Loved the World"
Minutes of the last meeting were
read by the secretary. Roll call
was answered by 11 members
and there was one guest. The
offering was taken. A reading,
"The Miracle of Christmas' was
read by Mi's, Bolger. Hymn 63
"Silent Night, Holy Night," was
sung. $10.00 was sent to the

COUNCIL MEETING
a he last regular meeting of the
Village Council for 1960 was
held in the Municipal Office on
December 14th, all members be-
lag present.
The following motions were
carried.
Moved by. C. ,L. Cousins, sec-
onded by J. L. McCutcheon that
the minutes of the meeting of
November 1, 196G, be adopted as
read.
Fire Chief, Gordon Stephenson
and Deputy Chief Jack Mc-
Whitler appeared before Council
as a delegation from the Brussels
Vire Brigade.
Moved by I. Ca Campbell, sec-
ond by J. L. McCutcheon that
Council accepts with regret the
resignation of Gordon Stephen-
son as Fire-Chief, who will re-
main on the Brigade.
Representation of the Brussels,
Morris and Grey Telephone Sy-
stem was made before Council in
the persons of George Michie and
Raymond Bronson. A brief out-
line for the proposed amalgam-
ation was discussed.

resignation of D. M, MacTavish
as Commissioner for Brussels
from the Brussels, Morris and
Grey Telephone System, com-
mencing December 31, 1966. A
new appointment for this position
will be made in the near future.
