The Apprenticeship and Tradesmen's Qualification. Act, 1964 requires
journeymen in the Electrical, and Air Conditioning and Rcfrigeraticn
trades to obtain Certificates of Qualification by October 31st, 1966. The
deadline has now been extended for six months to April 30th, 1967.
This extension does not affeCt the normal renewal periods for these
trades which are: Electrical tradc—jan uary-February ; Refrigeration & Air
Conditioning—May-June. Tradesmen who have not already applied for
their initial Certificates of Qualification should do so as soon as possible.

Third Meeting
The third meeting of the Brus-
sels Savoury Chefs" was held on
Friday, Septerdber 9th, 1966 at the
home of Kathleen Kreuter.
The meeting was opened with
4-H Pledge. The roll call was
"One of the Supper Menues Plan-
ned at twine". The minutes were
read by Faye Blake.
The next meeting will be held
on Friday, September 16, 1966,
at the home of Laurel Heming-
way.

On Saturday, October 1st, a
double ring ceremony, performed
by Rev. W. Downing, united in
marriage Barbara Ellen Thacker
and Thomas Richard Jacklin in
'reeswater ;gaited Church at 4
o'clock p.m.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thacker of;
Teeswater i and the gtoom's
parents are Mr. ana Mrs. Carl
Jacklin or Brussels.
The soloist was Miss Lana Ren-
wick accompanied by Mrs. Freda
Colvin at the organ.
Given in aniarriage by her father
he bride wore a full floor lengthi
gown of imported, silk taffeta,
featuring a cathedral train held at
the shoulders by matching bows.
The bodice and sleeves were fash-
ioned of lace and a tiara of pearls
held her elbow length veil. She
carried a bridal briquet of blue
and white shasta mums,
Mrs. Garry Jackson of New
Dundee, sister of the bride was
matron of honor, wearing a shad-
ed blue floor length gown of bro.,
cade with a flowing back panel
extending from the shoulders
Her circular veil was hold by a
blue floral headpiece, She carried
a cascade of yellow shasta mums.
Miss Cora aaaie Thacker of
Teeswater was flower girl wear-
mg yellow floor length dress at
peau satin with white chantilly
lace. Her headpiece was a match-
ing yellow satin uow.
Master Donald Thacker was
ring bearer.
Mr. Robert Jacklin of New
Hamburg was best man for his
brother. Mr. Eaward Thacker of
Teeswater and M. Donald. Jack-
lin of Brussels ushered the guests.
For the wedding diner at Dan-
ny's, Wingliam„ the bride's -moth-
er received the guests wearing a
a dress of burgandy crepe with
black accessories and a corsage
of white piimochio mums. She
w as, assisted by the groom's.

les and her corsage was white

Yellow, blue and white shasta
mums and candles decorated the
tables. The bride's table was
centred with a three tiered wed-
ding cake.
In the evening -a reception was
held in the Teeswater Nall.
For travelling the bride wore a
green wool dress with black ac-
cessories and a corsage of white

Mr and Mrs. Jacklin will reside
in New Dundee.
