Mrs. Maurice Williams, Atwood,

groom, who sang "Wedding
Prayer" and "0 Perfect Love".
The bride, given in marriage,
by her father, wore an empire
line 'coat of white brocade over
a matching dress of white peau
de soie. She carried a baguet of
yellow roses and white shasta
mums.
The attendants' gowns were
fashioned, similar to the bride's
with Miss Joan Currie of Atwood,
maid of honor, wearing brown
peau de- sole, Miss Man Elliott of
lVfolesworth, green peen de soie
and Miss- Jane 'Kreuter of Ethel,
gold, pean de sole. Matching bows
held their tulle- he,adresses. They
carried boquets of yellow and
bronze mime
Murray Fischer was his broth-
ers best man and Rae Tischer,
brother of the groom, and Bob
Pearson, brother of the bride,
ushered the guests.
The bride's mother received
wearing a cinnamon crochet' knit
dress and Matching feather hat
With brown accessories and a
corsage Of yellow MUM..
She was assisted by the groom's
mother wearing a turquoise and
black 'brocade- dress and black
accessories and a corsage of
white carnations.
The bride changed to a gold
heathertone dress, white coat and
brown accessories.
The couple will live in Kitchen-
er.

Honors Bride-Elect
A group of friends gathered to
honor Cathy Mooberry on her
forthcoming marriage to Albert
Smyth of Belgrave,
Cathy was asked to sit in the
chair of honor with Mrs. Leach
and Mrs. Smyth sitting on either
side of her, Corsages were pinned,
on all three before playing a few
contests,
Muni Bronson read a short
message of good wishes to ,Cathy,
and as this was her birthday, it,
was a double occasion. Cathy was
presented with matching coffee
table and two end tables. The
bride-to-be made a fitting reply
and thanked everyone for their
kindness. Lunch was served and,
an enjoyable evening came to an
end.
PIN AROUND
THE TRACK
The racing season didn't end
as suddenly as was expected.
Burning the midnight oil and
an ambitious crew repaired the
damage the car received the week
before at Flamboro.
With the car back in running
order, they left early Saturday
morning for Oswego, New York.
Time trials were held Saturday
afternoon with eighty four Canad-
ian and US cars battling for top
thirty positions rn the big race
held on Sunday. The remaining
cars were divided into three heats-
with the top ten cars qualifying
for the big race. Jack was fortun-
ate enough to finish among the
these top ten cars in the semi,
giving him thirty seventh posit-
ion out of a field of forty cars.
Gaining an entry to this race
event is considered an achieve-
ment without running the race
itself. ;tack kept a st'ady pace
but lia.d to make' tire pit stops in'
the 200 lap non-stop race, The
mile paved -banked track pre
sented quite a challenge. Jack
Jack finished the race in thirty-
,fit'st writer' after missing if
teen of the 200 laps. it was -a
feather in, his cap t finish
among the top racing drivers of
the TI.S.A, it Was also a boost
to his moral when he found he

Mr, and Mrs. Stanley Camp-
bell, their daughter, Mrs. Rose
Carruthers and son Allan, Cali-
fornia, have been visiting friends

week. They motored to Salt Lake
City where Stanley remained for
a convention for several days,
then flew the rest of the trip on
Friday. -They left for their home
in California on Wednesday of
this week.

Mrs, jackle is the former Rena
Kitchen and they were married
in Wroxeter on September 25t11,
1941 by the Rev. J. L. Foster.

Centennial Committees
Appointed At Meeting
Forty Persons, mostly repre.

sels and the surrounding com-
munities Were in attendance at
the Cenennial meeting held in
the library here on Monday night.
Discussion •of, and further plans
for the Centennial project of the
building of a medical and dental
clinic far this area went ahead.
Minutes of the first meeting
were- read by the permanent
secretary, Mrs. Calvin Smith.
Herbert Stream, chairman of
the Centennial Committee, who
presided, introduced the guest

rict Regional Centennial Repre-
sentative, of London, who else
showed, slides on possible financ-
ial projects,
