Cranbrook .Pesbyterlan Church
was the scene oz a pretty
wedding on Saturday, May 14th,
at three o'cloelt when Miss Patsy
Grace Evans was married to
Barry Robert Taylor, son of mr.
and Mrs. Robert Taylor of Varna.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Stuart Evans and the late Stuart
4vans. Rev. Charles Winn of
Mcmkton, performed the double
ring cereniony before a setting
of 'white candelabra and baskets
of white mums.
Mr. Gsaerne MacDonald, guest
soloist, sang "The Wedding Pray-
er", "Lord's Prayer!" and during
the signing of the register "0
Perfect L.9ve" accompanied by
Mrs. Murray Forbes at the organ.
Given in marriage by her grand-
father, Mr. Lynn Evans, the
bride wore a floor-length gown
of white Ligeda Ice Crepe, The
bodice was highlighted by a shal-
low scooped neckline and elbow
length sleeves of delicate Swiss.
Guipure lace. Elegance was por-
trayed in the, gentlY controlled
sheath skirt from the Empire line
waist. The Fanpire was also,
touched with a. scallop of the
same Guipure. The main centre
of attention was focussed on the,
detachable chapel train cascading
front the back neckline and touch-
ed with lace along the bottom. A
double French illusion veil was
held in place by a dainty half
crown. of peails. She carried a
white Bible crested with talisman.

She was attended by her sister
Beverley Evans, as maid of
honor. The bridesmaids were
Carol Fischer and Carol Taylor,
sister of the groom. All were
dressed identically in floor,
length gowns of French crepe,
with daffodil yellow skirts and
gold hodices with matching shoes
and yellow headpieces shaped like
a rose, They carried boquets of
white Shasta mum.s.
Miss Cindy Evans, niece of the
bride, was flower girl wearing
daffodil yellow crepe with sash of
gold, matching headress, gloves
and shoes and carried a boquet of
shasta mums.
Scott Consitt, Varna, nephew of
the bride, carried the rings on
white velvet pillow trimmed with,
red.
Donald. Taylor, ;Varna, brother
of the bridegroom, was grooms-
man. Ushers were Mac Webster
and Guy Evans, brother of the
bride.
A, reception was held in Croat-
brook Community Centre. The
bride's mother received the
guests wearing a pink and blue
flowered georgette with navy
and white accessories and a cor-
sage of white carnations. The
bridegroom's mother assisted
wearing Tropic Isle blue crepe
dress with matching accessories
and corsage of pink roses.
A wedding dinner arranged
by the Cranbrook. Women's In-
stitute was served by Misses
Sheila. and. Nancy. Strickler, Pat-
ricia Ducharrae, Gail Eingle, Sand-
ra Fischer, Nancy Cousitt, Mar-
garet Aldington and' Ann Steph-
enson.
For a wedding trip to Eastern,
Ontario the bride chose a. pink
suit with black accessories and a
corsage of white. carnations.

Mrs. Harold Bolger conduct-
ed' the business. Minutes of the
last meeting were read by the
secretary. Roil call "A Favourite
Flower" was answered by 15
members. There was one guest.
Collection was taken. The 8th and
16th are to look after flowers for
the church for May and Sept
An invitation was received
from Burns UCW for their open
meeting May 12th at 2 p.m. 'Mrs.
Don Fraser and Mrs. Alvin Mc-
Donald are to canvass the 8th and
16th for the Bible Society. We
are asked to save spice, salt and
pepper shakers for the Plowing
match.

Daffodils and mums formed the
background in St. John's Anglic-
an Church, Brussels, on Saturday,
May 7th, 1966, at 1:30 p.m. for
the marriage of Margaret, Jean
Cardiff. and. John Garry Orth.
The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. B.. L, Jennings of
Woodstock. former rector of St.
John's. Church.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W. Cardin
of Brussels. The groom is the
son of Mr. Lorne Orth of Gown-
atown and the late Mrs. Orth.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor,
gown or white taffeta fashioned
with back bow with sequins,
rounded neckline and lily-point
sleeves. Her veil of nylon tulle
was caught with pillhox head-
piece and pearls. She carried a
bridal boq.uet of red roses. and IVY.
Miss Frances Cardiff, attend-
ing her sister as maid-of-honor,
and Miss. Sharon Orth, sister of
the groom, were attired in sim-
ilar dresses of gold taffeta,
styled with lace bodice. Gold
headpieces featured shoulder
length veils. Their flowers were
yellow and white mums.
Mr. Gerald Fischer, Kitchener,
slqis groomsman. Mr. Chases
Zonderuan, Clinton, ushered the
guests.
A reception and dinner was
held at the New American Hotel.
Mrs. Cardiff received the guests
in a pink suit with black acces-
sories and a corsage of yellow
and white mums.
The brides -table was centred
with a three-tier wedding •cake
red roses and ' yellow and white
mums. The room, was tastefully
decorated with wedding Stream-
ers.
For a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario and the. Northern United
States the bride wore a blue suit
with beige accessories and a
corsage of red carnations.
The couple will reside In Brus-
sels.
Out-of-town guests attended
from Trowbridge., Port Credit,.
St. Mary's Kitchener, Quebec
end Stratford.
