The third game of the series,
Qentlenian's Club versus Legion
took place as scheduled, and, as
expected, the Legion took the
worst "lickin" of any g,roup since
the cursed Vriglish wiped out
Bonnie Prince Charlie's High,
landers at Culloden. They had
made big plane. Bid Bell was
appointed manager, Len Lamont
coach. Ten seconds after the
results were known Lamont was
fired, It Was too late, as he had
resigned 5 seconds after. He
does not deserve such treatment.
He can't stop a cyclone. He even.
imported two players, one from
Wroxeter and one from Barrie
and took one of our best men,
Norman Pfeifer. True, some of
his men were missing. Orenlie and
McAfter and Warwick.. Grenke
found it convenient to be away on
a business trip and the other two
Were ashamed because they really
belong to us. The Legion borrow-
ed them two years ago. Poor
Lament has had it pretty rough
ever since last Nov, 8. The elect
ion going the way it did and half
the grits in Quebec in jail, and
the other half waiting until more
and better jails are built. The
biggest surprise of the night was
that our two poorest players
topped the score witn 709 points
for 12 games, almost a record.
Our men, with the exception of
these winners, are classed as A
with a few as B. Duncan and
Clark are in the hooks as zero
000. The only reason they are
allowed to be one of us Is, Duncan
's a good man with a tally
card and Clark is related to Jack
MeWhirter, as to their ability as
Card players, well, the less said
the better,
The night of the game a bount-
eous lunch was served, as always
Never did the cold ham and sum-
mer sausage taste as sweet and
never did the Limburger smell
as bad, the way it should, of
course. The next, game will
be held on Wednesday, Tan, .5th.
On that night we are going to
put into effect our invincible,

card manipulation. The legion
haven't a chance. Yes, it was a big
night. I was very pleased to have
a nice chat with my good friend,
Tonimy Leek and hope to see
him, at the next game. I also got

of the Legion. Lads after the

Hall beat it for the dart board.
The first dart he pitched went
