DOMINION DAY CELEBRATION
One of the largest crowds since
its inception,, estimated at about
3,500 attended the. eighth annual
Dominion Day celebration in At-
iwood sponsored by the Atwood
Lions Club.
A chicken barbecue was serv-
ed to about 1,200 people at At-.
'wood community centre.
Main Street was lined with
cars and pedestrians to view the
parade which formed at the
North end of the village and
proceeded to Elmo, community'.
centre. Eagin ttegiment trumpet'
band, St. Thomas, Stratford, and
Atwood bands provided music
for the parade.
Lions Cub directors report
that $4,000 was raised for com-
munity service projects and
welfare.

were: Mrs. Cor Schalk's, At-
wood.
Brussels Lions Club we, second
for their float which depicted an
attractive summer scene, com-
plete with lovely young ladies,
and preceeded by two horseback
riders.
