PESKY THINGS!
Mosquitoes are pests in Spring
and early Sumner but you can.
prevent them from coming to life
in your garden by getting rid of
old tins or vessels that hold stale
water, and cleaning out garden
pools. There are lotions that help
to repel insects or that will allev-
iate the painful itching. A paste
made of baking soda helps. If your
skin is sentative to lotions you can
prevent mosquitoes and black
flies from stinging if you use
generous amounts of cold cream.
On face and neck. If the insect
alights on the cream, it's itn-
nioblized and it can't sting you.
