St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Molesworth.. Sessions were held both' after- noOn and, evening, the. theme for the afternoon was "Service"; Devotions Were Miceli by Mrs. Andrew Gaunt, Mrs. Wallace Conn and Mrs. Russell Ross of the Whitechurch Auxiliary. Mrs. Wm. Smith, Molesw'orth gave the words of welcome. Reports were by Mrs. William. Ford, Win g- ham, recording secretary; Mrs. Thos. Currie, Wingham' cor- responding secretary: Mrs. D. R, MacKenzie, Ashfield, treasurer: Mrs. Norman Dickson, Moles- Worth' was the soloist. Rev. W. J. Morrison, moderator of the Mir. on-Maitland Presbytery spoke briefly. Rev. S. J. Stewart,.Moles- worth, conducted the "In Memor- iam Service": Miss Giollo Kelly, National Missions, Toronto, was the spec- ial speaker for the day. She oat• lined the work being done on the the different Mission fields, men- tioning particularly any new projects, as the Women's rally in British Guiana, the five new mis- sionaries being sent to Formosa, Niagara and India, the inner city venijures in our large cities and the graduating dedconesdes. Mrs. Herrig, staff member of Armagh, spoke briefly of her work at Armagh "The Home for Girls". The name Armagh means "In High Places". It is a home for all denominations and is the only Presbyterian home in Can- ada. The girls conform to regu- lations, the emphasis is on. Love and Understanding, Members of the W.AS.S. are invited to visit this home at any time. The theme for the evening meeting Was "Love". Mrs. Stuart Stevenson, Mrs. Frank Smith and Mrs. Doug Evans of Oran - brook were in charge of the de- votions. Mrs.Colin McIntosh. of Molesw'orth gave the words of welcome. Rev. Doug. Steven was the special speaker at the Youth. Service in the evening. His subject was "The Changing Church In The Changing World". He was born on the farm. where he was working at the time of the fatal heart seizure, He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Morris Township. He is survieved by his wife, the :termer Mabel McCallum; four daughters. Mrs Peter ,(Louise) Shaw, Listowel; Mrs. George (Bernice) MieWhirter, Morris Township; Mrs. Glen (Donna) Plant, Kitchener; Susan, at home; one son. Cranbrook Gracious Gardners Third 'Meeting The third meeting of the Oran - brook Gracious Gardeners was held at the home of Marie Veitcts on May ,29th. at 9:30 a.m. The president, Nancy Strickler, pre- Sided over the meeting. The meeting was opened with the 4-H pledge. The roll call was answer- ed by the eight members. Marie Veitch read the minutes of the second meeting, The next meet- ing is to be held on July 10th at 9:30 a.m. at Sharon Fischer'e There was a discussion on stak- ing tomatoes, weed control, in- sect and disease control, and the freezing of fruits and vege- tables. Mrs. Veitch demonstrated, the thinning and transplanting of vegetables. Mrs. Strickler demon- strated how to freeze rhubarb and carrots.
