HELP CRIPPLED CHILDREN
USE EASTER SEALS
- Children with physical disabil-
ities are being discovered by the I/
'Ontario Society for Crippled
Children almost every day of the
year. Case finding is a vitally im-
portant Easter Seal function and
is carried, on in the remote areas
as well as in heavily populated
towns and cities through periodic
surveys.
Crippled children's survey's are
conducted on: a "County" basis
by a special survey eommittee
composed of representatives from
the local medical society, Easter
Seal service clubs and the die
ti'ict nurses of the Ontario
Society for Crippled Children.
Survey notices are sent to all
physisians, clergymen, teachers
official health agencies anct
community groups to publicize
the services available to till phy-
sically infirm children under
nineteen years of age.
The familiei of children re-
ported are visited by the district
nurses with prior approval from
the family doctor. Under the
doctor's direction, atrangements
can he Made for a complete re-
habilitation program embracing
ing medicine, therapies, social
service, psychology, education
and recreation. In addithan, there
will be the provision of prosthetic
appliances and special equipment
as the need arises.

care and treatment, notify the
Easter Seal club serving your
area.
