Lions Entertained By Ladies' Quintette The reguar supper meeting of the local Lions Club was held Monday evening With Lion pree ident Charles Thomas presiding. i Supper was served by the' ladies of St. Ambrose church. A sing song was led by Lion Tamer Cecil McFadden. George Mutter fulfilled his duties as Tail Twister. Business included minutes, roll call and correspondence by Lion Secretary H. TenPas. Lions George Mutter and Hank TenPas also reported en a Zone executive meeting they attended in Clinton. as representatives of the Brus- sels club. Lion Cecil Parker re- reported on the World Series Baseball Ticket Pool. The annual Farmers' Night will be held on October 19th. Lion Calvin 'Knitter thanked the club' for their expression of sympathy at the time of the death of his mother. The members were entertained with several numbers by a Vocal quintette composed of MS. Dick Stephenson, Mrs. George Cousins. 'WA. Sunday morning. The plate glass of a rear door of the building was smashed. Nothing was stolen, or dis- turbed, as far as could be ascer- tained. It is not known whether the culprits actually entered the building or not, but four suspected persons, were seen. leaving the premises by the owner, R. 13, Cousins. He also saw them attempt to start the car parked in the garage drive- way at tbe home of Mrs, Jas. Bryans, but they beat a hasty retreat on foot, when, frightened off by Mr. Cousins, BELGRAVE BANTAMS WIN SEMIFINAL Belgrave won their best-Of- three Western Ontario Athletic Association bantam semifinal in two games straight by blanking 'Orangeville 11-0 behind Brian Coultes' one-hitter here lag night.
