Also a resident may elect to pay for non-prescribed treatment by making' prior arrangements with, a private practising physiother- apist. The services must be prescribed by a duly qualified physician and performed by, or under the direct supervision of, a registered physiotherapist. .A course of treatment • may be, for a maximum of three weeks unless the physician prescribes a longer period. NOME TREATMENT If, in the opinion: of the attending physician, a patient cannot attend the physiotherapist's office, treatment in. the patient:s place of residence will be, covered, but in such cases the physiotherapist may charge the patient, or patients. a total of $1 .00 per visit, regardless of the number of patients treated during the visit. The main purpose of this additional service to patients is to make the most efficient use of available physiotherapy facilities, It is to be financed by FederailIcalth Grants and by the Province of Ontario. Certain:, physiotherapy services are not available under this program.
