in P. R. I. but is especially note-
worthy because there are only
seventeen certified meat bulls in,
all. North America. Two of the
qualifying bulls are Charolats,

owned in partnership with Water-
loo Cattle Breeding Association.,
The bill% qualified as certified
meat sires by Producing ten or
more offspring with high average
meat production, Calves they had
sired were fed out on a feed-lot,
slaughtered and carcass scored
against a rigid set of standards.
Scoring was done by govern-
ment graders under the Ontario
Quality Meat Sire policy which
parallels Performance Registry
International standards.
The scoring for carcase weight
per day of age, racist important

ial beef producer was as follow

ards):- steers sired by Mt. L.
Clti:eftan, a Charolais, led with
an average carcass weight of
1:51 lbs. per day of age, followed
by Domino Mathew 4P (Polled
Hereford) with 1.48 lbs,, Salter
Prince 7P (Hereford) with 1.48'
lbs., and Carlos (Charolais) with.
1.43 lbs,
