The Program commences at. six 'vi/ALTON Duffs United Chorea Anniversary Service Well Attended Nearly 1,000 persons attended the dOth anniversary Service at Dutfa Putted Church, Walton, on Sunday morning. The auditorium was crowded to capacity, and about 300 persons heard the service in the basement through a loud-speaker system. The auditorium was again filled for the evening serrylce, Two former ministers spoke at the services, Rev. 'Dolton Hazelwood. or Hamilton in the morning, and Ttev, Mr. Mines of Embro at night. Second Cranbrook 444 Club Meeting The second meeting of 'the Oran- brook "Crunchy Carrots" was held on Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Geraldine McTaggart's home. The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge followed by the roll call answered with a vegetable brought from home. Nancy Strickler read the minutes Servicee in Knox Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Sept, 30, will be held as follows. Sunday School will meet at 10.16 and the reguar morn- ing service at 11 a.m. On Sunday, Oct 7 services will be at 10 and 11 a.m. respectively. Mr. and Mrs. John Finalyson, of Detroit, spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Mac Hugel and also attended the special morning service in Duff's United Church, Walton. Mrs, iGordon Knight and family have moved to their new home in Listowel, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Knight have taken up residence on the farm on the 10th con, of the preVious meeting. A name was chogen for the club. It was decided to have black covers with orange felt letters for the books. Notes were taken on. the outline sheets and then. Mrs. McTaggart demonstrated "Cheese Sauce." and. .`Parsley Sauce", which the members ate over baked potatoes and boiled cauliflower.
