end with Mr. and Mks, Earl Plum
Mrs. Wm. Perrie met with a un-
fortunate accident at her home on
Thursday evening. While using a
hose on their lawn she fell, break-
ing several bones in her leg. She t
was removed by ambulance to
Listowel Memorial Hospital.
Beginning on Sunday, May 22nd,
seeeice in Knox Church will he held 11
at 11.15 a, m. D. S, T., throughout i
the summer. Sunday School will I
meet at 10.115.

The May meetng of the Cran-
brook W. I. was held in the Cran-
brook Community Centre, May 3rd ,
with Mrs. Clem Steiner presiding.
The minutes of the last meeting were
read by Mrs. Ken McDonald, and!
approved. Mrs. Gordon Knight, Mrs.
Ross Knight and Mrs. Ken McDonald
were appointed as delegates to
attend the District Annual at the
Cranbrook, CoMmunity Centre May ,
10th. Mrs, Gordon Knight and Ma's.
Steffler are to wercome the guests
that day.
The rest of the meeting was spent
listening to public speaking. Schools ,
S. S. No, 7, 8, 10 and 1, Grey, were
invited to participate but unfortun-
ately only S. S. 7, sent represent-
atives, In the junior division Joanne
Dunn was the top speaker with Fred
Stevenson the second winner. Both
speakers told about a book they had
read. In the senior division Murray
Knight spoke about Highway
Safety and received first prize.
The meeting closed with The
Queen. A delicious lunch was
served.
Mrs. Wesley Beacom
The death occurred in Clinton
Public Hospital on Wednesday,
April ,20th of Mary Ann Pearson,
widow of the late Wesley Beacom,
in her. 87th year,
She was born in,Grey Township on
Oct. 26th, 1873, the daughter of the
late Robert Pearson and Susannah :
Musgrave. After her marriage in
1903, she resided it Hallett Twp., on
the farm where her son Bert now
lives, until fourteet years ago when I
she.moved to the village of Londes-
bore,
