The Fire Committee of the 13rueeele :Municipal Council
aecompanied me to the April 2nd, meeting of the Grey Towashie
Council, with the purpose of discussing plans for the formation of
fire area in the community:
The Greg' Township Council were not interested in fire protector.
for the Township at the present time. The Insurance 'Underwriters
haVe forbidden the Bruesels Fire Truck to leave the village on Lire
calls, as this endangers property in the village and they have assured
us that the village authorities Will be held responsible.
The 'Bruesels Fire Brigade and the Village Council wish it to he
understood that they are willing to do all within their power to co-
operate with the township residents to solve the problem of tire
protection.
Until such time as the Townships are willing to form a Fire Ares
and a suitable Fire Track is purchased for the area, the Brussels
Fire Brigade cannot leave the village on fire calls.
