TV 'CKNX Wingham thee applied tO Ottawa for television license, it was announced this week by W. T. "Doe" Orulestiank, general manager of the Wingham radio• station. Mr. Cruickshank, said the application to the Department of Transport and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation asks for perrniesion tiro 'listen and operate a TV station, 'on Channel S. He operated a hardware business here for 50 years', and retired some years ago. Born in Seafortfh, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will- iam Gillespie. His wife, the former, Elleabeith Ritchie, died in 1949, He -was a member of Melville .01threli ;and St. John's Maeonic Lodge.
