INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS — In April of this year, a new slate of
officers for the Esrussels Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary was installed at
the Brussels Legion. In the front row from left are Lillian Moses, Ethel
Brewer, Verna Tunney, Joan Miller (past president) Grace Jutzi
(president), Kaye Duncan (first vice-president), Marie Stute (second
vice-president) and Bessie Blenkhorn (treasurer). In the second row are
Doreen Rutledge, Charlie Procter, Cliff Apel, Bob Fraser (second

The first year the band had Tattoo with seven bands. In
33 engagements and knew the present band there are 15
eight songs. members.
On the 50th anniversary of the Brussels
Legion we would like to send them our

We have had the pleasure in the past to
provide the Legion with meat for their
banquets and turkeys for the bingos. We
look forward to serving them for many more
years to come.

Members, former
members and friends
gathered Friday night for the
Brussels Legion Pipe Band's
25th reunion.
Pipe Major Tom
MacFarlane proposed a toast
to the band members. About
42 recent and former
members of the band were
present.
Rev. Innes thanked former
members of the Pipe Band for
coming. Mr. Kennedy from
Trenton was the farthest
away former member to
attend. Reeve of Brussels Cal
Krauter a former member,
also made a speech to the
Pipe Band.
The first organizer of the
group George Elliot made a
speech and told of the 25
years of the band.
The band was formed in
1952 with 12 members. The
men travelled to Lucknow for
letsons. The first parade was
