In the front row from left are Lillian Moses, Ethel Brewer, Verna Tunney, Joan Miller (past president) Grace Jutzi (president), Kaye Duncan (first vice-president), Marie Stute (second vice-president) and Bessie Blenkhorn (treasurer). In 33 engagements and knew the present band there are 15 eight songs. members. On the 50th anniversary of the Brussels Legion we would like to send them our Congratulations We have had the pleasure in the past to provide the Legion with meat for their banquets and turkeys for the bingos. (From the Brussels Post 1977) Members, former members and friends gathered Friday night for the Brussels Legion Pipe Band's 25th reunion. Pipe Major Tom MacFarlane proposed a toast to the band members. About 42 recent and former members of the band were present. Rev. Innes thanked former members of the Pipe Band for coming. Mr. Kennedy from Trenton was the farthest away former member to attend. Reeve of Brussels Cal Krauter a former member, also made a speech to the Pipe Band. The first organizer of the group George Elliot made a speech and told of the 25 years of the band. The band was formed in 1952 with 12 members. The men travelled to Lucknow for letsons. The first parade was
