The first annual Gorrie
Black Speeh slo-pitch tourna-
ment was held last weekend
in Gorrie Park. Sixteen teams
took part: Belmore, Bluevale,
Diesel Car Diner, Moles-
worth, Gorrie,Lakelet, For-
mosa, Clifford, Teeswater,
Brussels, Walkterton, Harri-
ston, Wingham and Drew.

they defeated Belmore 20-3.

Bruce Boneschansker of
R.R. 1 Ethel was the winner
of the 50-50 draw held in
conjunction with the tourna-
ment. The winning number
was drawn by Dale Cober
after the "B" Championship
game.

Preliminary Rudiments
Theory Examination of the
Royal Conservatory of Music
held in myth in May. She will
now receive her Grade V
Pianoforte Certificate. She
also passed with Honours her
Grade VI Pianoforte, held in
Blyth in June. She is the
daughter of Mrs. William.
Taylor of Gorrie and her
teacher is Mrs. Edwin. Martin
