"It takes quite a while to get 50 hours of flying time, so we possibly won't get anyplace this year." When that 50 hours is up though, Sam says he wouldn't mind flying out west with it and he would also like to get to Oshkosh in the International Fly-in. He said four years ago there were only two of this type of airplane at the show. Three years ago there were 12, two years ago there were 24 and last year there were 52 but Sam says there. are hundreds of them flying in the States. There is only one he knows of that - is flying in Canada. Sam will be taking his plane to Goderich for its test flight, because it needs a long runway. And what will he he be doing while he waits for the inspector?. "Finishing up some things that need to be done," according to his wife Margaret who indicates that a television aerial never got hooked up for some time while Sam was working on his project. Joe Phelan, R.R. 4 Brus- sels found a balloon in his field while sowing barley May 4. Correction • An error was made in last week's report on a Morris Township council meeting. In a paragraph about the Blyth and District Commun- ity Centre, it was stated that last year Morris gave a grant of $5,400 to the arena. That was incorrect. The $5,4uu was the total amount given by all municipalities involved with the arena. Morris ac- tually gave a grant of $750. The Post apologizes for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused. The tag, dated April 1981, explained it was part of a project by a class of the Fawn River School, Sturgis,. Mis- souri. The tag was returned along with a small map of our area and some information about the farm so Dean would know how far his helium-filled balloon had travelled. People we know Mrs. Gordon Engel and Leona Armstrong attended a one day workshop on "Writ- ing Local Histories" spon- sored by the Simcoe County Historical Society. The work- shop was held at the County Museum near Barrie.
