lawyer on wills

The Women's Institute
met in the Walton Commun-
ity Hail, Wednesday eve-
ning. Mrs. Jim Axtmann
read minutes and roll call
was answered with "Have
yon made your will?"
The convenors Mrs. Lavern
Godkin and Mrs. Harold
Bolger on Citizenship and
World Affairs took over the
meeting. Donna Godkin pre-
sented a piano solo.
The guest speaker, Ralph
Smith, lawyer with McCon-
nell, Stewart and Devereaux,
Seaforth read a story entitled
"I am Joe's Will". Questions
were asked regarding wills.
Answers in a lot of cases
depended on the situation of
husband, wife and family.
Children have to be 18 years
and over before claiming
anything by law. When locat-
ing the will after death one
executor can get the will if
the other executors sign. It
saves taxes to give every-
thing to the wife or husband
if possible. Mrs. Bolger
thanked the speaker and
presented him with an en-
velope.
Business continued when
the Walton W.I. were asked
to entertain for the birthdays
at Brussels Nursing Home on
Wednesday, March 25,

chievement Day on April 1 at
1:30 p.m. It was decided to
go to the Olympia Restaurant
Brussels for supper at 6:30
on Wednesday, April 15,
preceding the annual meet-
ing. Fee to be $3.00. This
year the sunshine sister is
revealed with gifts.
Dessert Euchre will be
held Tuesday, April 2lat 7:00
p.m. Admission $2.00. Dis-
trict Annual will be held at
Bluevale, May 12.
Dinner tickets at $4.75
are to be purchased before-
