LEWIS STONEHOUSE 887,9847 Belgrave 1 4-H club was opened with the pledge and motto, follOwed by the min- utes of meeting three read by Meribeth Scott. It was decided members would like yellow bristol board for their covers and Meribeth said she would pick it up. Sheila Anderson told members the Hi-C's were arranging for a bus and tickets for the Ice Capades, April 7 and it was decided Belgrave 1 members would go with them. The leaders demonstrated how to apply interfacing and extended facings and mem- bers discussed why they would use the facings. The leaders also showed how to put in a lapped zipper, which to the members' surprise seemed very easy. They also helped with the cryptogram review in The books. The next meeting will be March 30 at 7 p.m. in the Women's Institute Hall in Belgrave. Twelve tables were in play at the weekly euchre held in the W.I. Hall, March 18. Winners were: High. Lady- Mrs. Jas. R. Coultes, Novel- ty Lady-Verena Bone, Low lady-Mrs. Hazel Davidson. High Man-Jas. Coultes, Novelty Man-John Anderson and Low Man-Bert Johnston. Squirts won the first game 6-5 in overtime and the last game 4-2. The Tykes are in the finals against Kurtzville and the Pee Wees are in the finals against Normandy. Muriel Bosnian of Sault. Ste.
