They lost their first game 4.1 against Drayton, and then won against Chesley and Tara in the final game. Goal scorers for the day were Steven Wheeler, Dean Nicholson, Jeff Earl, and Ian Johnston. Mr. Barry McCauley and Diana Maxwell of Strat- ford spent Friday afternoon at the home of his grand- mother, Mrs. Ethel Bone and his mother Mrs. Dorothy McCauley and also attended the Jack Pennington funeral. Gordon Stiles is a patient in the Stratford General Hospital. Mr. and Mrs, Harvey, Carrick were honoured by a surprise anniversary and birthday dinner party in Linwood, Saturday. Midgets lead in series Curlers start third and last mixed draw This week in minor hockey Brussels Midgets played in Lucknow 'Monday, February 9 and defeated the home team by a score of 6-4 to take a lead in the series, three points to one in the best of three with the next game played in Brussels on Feb- ruary 15. Brussels won 5-3 to put Lucknow out and the team now goes on to play Paisley. February 9 started the third and final draw for the season of mixed curling. Everyone changed teams so that if a person wasn't on a winning team, they would 'have another chance this draw. It is not always the skip who wins or loses the game. =Sometimes a good lead will decide the course of a game. Whatever the com- bination, it is teamwork that really counts.
