The Ministry of Natural Resource's share of the cost of this project will be 85 per cent while the town of Listowel will pay 15 per cent. Members of the Authority passed a motion that the MVCA introduce this pro- gram of river channel im- provement in Listowel at a cost of $435,000 plus engin- eering fees, that. the staff update a previous brief on the project and submit it to the Ministry of Natural Resources. This will go into the Authority's special pro- jects budget as well as the Regional budget. The Listowel Flood Plain Mapping program has now been implemented and the Authority 'is required to ,comment on all building applications, Municipalities will experi- ence an increase of approxi- mately 71/2 per cent over last year's levy to the, MVCA, chairman Dave Gower told the :fleeting when the. 1981 preliminary budget was pre- sented, at the Meeting.
