home of Mrs. Albert Cook on

A winter fashion show will
be featured at Callander
Nursing Home on November
27 when Caravan clothing
will present a variety of
styles with Callander re-
sidents acting as models.
Ladies
Aid
meets
The Melville Ladies Aid
met at the home of Mrs.
Elsie Evans for their Novem-
ber meeting with 10 mem-
bers and two visitors pre-
sent.
Mrs. Hazel Matheson as
leader, opened the meeting.
Adeline Smith read the scrip-
ture and Ethel Long read in
prayer. Roll call was answer-
ed with verses on "Remem-
brance."
Readings were given by
Elsie Evans, Hazel Matheson
and Mrs. Glenna Stephens.
Elsie Evans had a contest.
The meeting closed with a
benediction and lunch was
served by Ethel Long, assist-
ed by the hostess.
NDP launches
membership drive
On Saturday Nov. 1
Gwen Pemberton, Bayfield,
Fran McQuail, Lucknow and
Valerie Bolton, Belgrave,
members of the Huron-Mid-
dlesex NDP attended a joint
meeting with Huron-Bruce,
Grey-Bruce and Grey NDP in
Walkerton.
The Ontario' NDP is
mounting a Province wide
membership drive. Huron-
Middlesex will participate in
this drive. Some door to door
canvassing will begin by
November 22.

with the NDP can be obtain-
ed by writing Valerie Bolton,
Secretary, Huron-Middlesex
NDP, R.R. 1 Belgrave.
Anne-Rae Fishman from
the Ontario NDP provincial
office explained the plans for
the province wide member-
ship drive. The local mem-
bership committee will be
holding a social at the end of
the drive to welcome new
members to the party.

the gospel in our church and
community.
The meeting closed with
lunch served by Mrs. Ross
Anderson's and Mrs. Agnes
Bieman's group.
WMS MEETS.
The W.M.S. met
November 3 at the home of
Mrs. Victor Youngblut. Mrs.
Youngblut j presided.

17-32. Mrs. Joe' Dunbar led
in prayer. Secretary's report
was given by Mrs. John.
McBurney and treasurer's
report by Mrs; Young blut.
The annual meeting will be
held on Wednesday, January
21st in Seaforth. Roll call was
answered with a verse on
kindness.
The topic was taken by
Mrs. McBurney and she read
about the Indians, in Canada.
Mrs. Garner Nicholson read
a poem. "Why do we wear a
Poppy?"
Mrs. Youngblut closed the
meeting with a prayer and
served lunch.
