Thursday afternoon, Mr. and Mrso Deijardine sang a duet,' followed. byl,Mrs.i Stevvart. reading a poem. In charge of the service and 'reading: the lesson was ,Mrs. • Prouty assisted by ,Mis. Finkbeiner at the organ. Mrs. Mabel JefferY also , added 'to the service by giving a reading. Rev. Wittick conducted the Sunday morning service. The congregation enjoyed the solo sung by Rev. Wittick "When *Jesus Comes", also a solo sung by Mrs. VVittick, "Blessed Assurance." Part of Mrs. Regier's family were here on Friday afternoon to celebrate their mother's birthday. They were seen at the tuck shop enjoying cake and ice cream, along with some of our other residents. Mrs. Molly Ccix was here on Monday afternoon , for Old Tyme Music in the auditor- ium. Assisting Molly with the musical programme were our own Cecil Skinner and Norm Speir with their vio- lins. Also accompanying the trio was Mr. Jim Ruddock with his accordian. A sing song rounded 'off the pro- gramme. • The Huronview Auxiliary held a meeting in the craft ,room• also 'on Monday after- : noon. Readers are reminded of their bazaar on June. 4th. Grace Peck, Mary Ross, Mabel °arrow, Ethel Hill, Margaret. Murray, Bernice Glousher, Elizabeth Scott, Minnie Fowler, and Iris Spading all went into Clinton. :to help Polly Wiltse celebrate her 90th birthday. The party was celebrated at the Ontario Stmt United Church and was well attended with many " friends and relatives gath- ered to wish Polly a happy birthday. The annual spring confer- ence of the Ontario Associ- ation of Homes for the Aged Region #3 was held at Halton Centennial;Manor, Milton on Wednesday, April 23rd. - Residents enjoyed the organ music of Ed Stiles on Thursday afternoon. On May 11th, there will be a special Mother's Day Tea at Huron- view. All relatives of resi- dents are invited to come on Mother's, Day and enjoy a cup of tea and a cookie in the afternoon. The last night of bowling was Tuesday night; " Men's high single was Fred, Cousins. • with 292. Jim Adams was Zrid high. with 245 and :Fred. Sawyer was 3rd with 238. Men's, high, triple was Fred Cousins with 658. , 'Jim Adams was 2nd with 637, and Ray Adams was 3rd with 575. For the ladies ,Marlene Cowie wag•high single with 230. She was followed by Carolyn Whitfield with .219 and Wilda Higgins was 3rd with 218. • High triple,,vvent to Carolyn Whitfield with 603. Marlene Cowie was 2nd high with 561 and Wilda Higgins was 3rd with 555. The winning team for the 3 Team 4-40, No Name Brand- 38, Bad New's Bears 28, Sure khots 24, and Toilet Bowlers 16. All in all I think we had a great year bowling and everyone' one enjoyed themselves.I hope to see, everyone out again next year. I enjoyed being secretary for such an excellent league.
