Hospital in, London on Tues-
day March 11, He waS 69.
He was. .born in Morris
Township, son of . the late,
James Grasby rtid Elizabeth
Michie, He was a farmer and
was a Member of the Brus-
sels United Church.
Surviving are a sister,
Mrs, Adah Smith, of Brussels
and one brother, Robert of
Morris Township.
Funeral and committal ser-
vices were held from the
Brussels chapel of the M.L.
Watts Funeral Home on
Thursday, March 13, with
Rev. Eric LeDrew officiating.
Temporary entombment is in
the Brussels Cemetery
Chapel with spring interment
in the Brussels cemetery to
follow.
MRS. JOHN MASON
Mrs. John Maion
formerly of East Wawanosh
Township died Saturday,
March 8 at the home of her
granddaughter (Julia) Mrs.
Harold Capener where she
had made her home for the
past few years. She was 85.
The former Ethel Clark
was born in Hensall on
October 10, 1895 and was a
4-,ughter of the late James
k ark and Christine
I3engough of Hensall.
During her early life she
vorked as an operator for
Kell Telephone. She was
marred on June 9, 1915 in
Hensall to John Mason who
pre-deceased her, in
December of 1960. Following
their marriage they lived in
East Wawanosh Township.
Mrs. Mason was a member
of the Calvin-Brick United
Church in East Wawanosh.
Surviving are five sons and
four daughters-Mrs. Mildred
Towers • of Toronto, Mrs.
Parker (Mary) Campbell of
Wingharn, Mrs. Fleming
(Dorothy) Johnston of
Bluevale, Mrs, John (Lois)
Rea of Mississauga, Kenneth
of RR1, Belgrave, Harold of
Kincardine, Alfred of
Winghatn, Lloyd of Lucan,
Robert of Sarnia. Also,
surviving are 26 grand-
children and 15 great-grand-
children.
She was pre-deceased by
two sisters, Elizabeth
Anderson *~ and Myrtle
Kilpatrick and one brother
Alfred. Clark. •
Funeral services took place
Tuesday, March 11 at the
Currie-Walker 'Funeral
Home with Rev. John
Roberts officiating. The final
resting place is the Brandon
Cemetery at Belgrave.

,Mrs. Luella May Mc-
Lauchlin (nee Ross) wife of
the late R.J. McLauchlin
died Wednesday, March 12
at the Callander Nursing
Home in Brussels in her 93rd
year.
Surviving are a sister,
Mrs. Doris Swartman of
Sioux Lookout and a brother
Dr. J. V. Ross of London. She
was pre-deceased by her
husband R.J. McLauchlin in
1960 and two sisters, Mrs.
Monro Blain (Marjorie),
1W ,s Gertrude Ross and one
brother Dr. George Ross of
Wingham.
She was bOrn in Brussels
and was daughter of the late
David C. Ross and Maria
Jane Ames. She was a mem-
ber of the Brussels United
Church.

Thomas Earl Ledgerwood
Bernard died at ffuronview
Nursing Home in Clinton on
Sunday, March 9 at the age
of 90.
He was born in Morris
Township and was the son of
the late Thomas Bernard and
Sarah Ledgerwood, He was
pre-deceased by his wife, the
former Annie Alcoek in 1978.
He was a farmer and was a
member of St. John's Angli-
can Church in Brussels.
Surviving are two daugh-
ters, Jane (Mrs. Jack Mc-
Ewing) and Mary (Mrs.
Harold. East), both ,of Bullett
Township; three sons,
Thomas of Morris, George of
Clinton and Howard, of Brus-
sels, Also surviving are 23
grandchildren and 27 great
grandchildren,
He was pre-deceased by
one brother, William Ber-
nard of Morris Township and
one sister Mrs, Elizabeth
Craig of Blyth and two
vandchildren,
