Melville Ladies Aid was held
at the home of Mrs. W.W.
Smith with eleven members"
and one visitor present.
Mrs. Elsie Evans, as lead-
er, opened the meeting, Mrs.
Evans gave a reading, "He
giyeth Grace." Ruby Steins
' ,read 'the scripture from
Matthew, Chapter 5, with a'
prayer by Ethel Long fol-
lowed by the Lord's prayer.
The minutes of the Febru-
ary meeting were read by
Ruby Steiss, the financial
report by Berva Dennis and
the sunshine report by Ethel.

ing on "Where there is love"
a story about a boy and his
dog. Elsie. Evans read an
article from a church record
on "Lotteries in the church."
Berva. Dennis had a con-
test on familiar places in
Huron County. Lunch was
served by Ethel. Long and.
Berva Dennis assisted by the
hostess.
WMS makes 10 calls
on sick, shut-in
Melville'W.M.S. met in the
church , parlour in Friday
afternoon with. Mrs. Jim
Mair presiding. She opened
the meeting with a short
poem. entitled "Martha"
honouring women's work.
Ten calls on sick and
shut-ins were reported. The
Roll Call was answered with
a verse containing the word
"rule."
article entitled "what has
happened to Lent", written
by Finette de Gangi, wife of a
prominent Presbyterian
Minister. She recalled the
dedicated observation of
Lent which was present in
former years and regretted
that it has been lost to some
extent. It has an important
place in the life of every
Christian.

March was held at the home
of Mrs. Wayne Grube. Miss
Susan Zeelman of Dashwood
was a special guest. She is
Huron County Dairy
Princess. Susan showed a
film of the early processing
of milk to the present
processing.

Wardlaw and Miss Susan

Brnatford visited with Mrs.
Wardlaw on the weekend.
