Brusselsfest features Liars
Last year's Brusselsfest
held by the Brussels Opti-

away, and this year the

This year a new twist has
been added to the Brussels-
fest which is to be held
Saturday, September 22--a
Liars' Contest in which

people are required to tell a
tall tale in about five
minutes.
Publicity chairman George
Langlois, calls the Brussels-
fest "Just a fundraising and
fun day," and said they're
hoping to get all the tickets
sold in advance. Part of the
money raised is to go to the
Leo Club to help them in
their quest for tennis courts
for the village.
Along with the Liars' Con-
test, the Gong Show will once
again be held with both
contests offering cash prizes
for first, second and third
place. Floyd Herman of
R.R.3, Brussels is the Master
of Ceremonies for this year's
contests and Gary Elston is
in charge of both.
Entry forms for the
contests are available at
Mayer's jewellery store.
Something else new to the
Brusselsfest this year are
Brusselsfest T-shirts which
can be purchased the day of
the event or at George of
Brussels hairstyling shop.
Don Bray is the overall
chairman for this year's
Brusselsfest.
