The staff of the Huron
County Playhouse is be-
ginning to swell with the
arrival of four young men
Marc Quinn of Waterloo
will be Director of
Operations. His duties in-
clude administration
training, budgeting and
overseeing concessions,
maintenance and house
management. Mr. Quinn is a
Drama graduate from the
University of Waterloo. He
was the founder and
producer of the Twin City
Youth Theatre in Waterloo/
Kitchener.
James Murphy, Artistic
Director of the Playhouse,
said, "These young people
will have the opportunity to
learn every aspect of a
professional theatre season
from the earliest pre-
parations to the last closing
night". FOr Mr. Quinn, Mr.
Lefebvre and Mr. Cole, it will
'be a particularly close as-
sociation, as they will be
living in the old farm house
on the Playhouse grounds.

Mathilda Martens, a
native of Dashwood, is
already busy selling tickets
at the box office for the
coming season. She is a
graduate•of the University of
Guelph, and most recently
graduated from Elborn
Teachers' College, London.
Mark Cole, originally from
Woodstock, attended the
University of Western
Ontario. He is a production
trainee, working in the
Technical areas of the
Theatre, including carpentry
and lighting.
' Ken Lefebvre from Brant-
frod will serve as publicity
assistant. His duties include
theatrical display and pro-
motion for the Huron County
Playhouse. Mr. Lefebvre
attended the University of
Waterloo and the University
of Calgary as a Theatre Arts
Major.
Bill Amos, Huron Country
Playhouse Chairman of the
Board, has announced that
Aileen Taylor-Smith has
been named Playhouse Art-
istic Director and that Marc
Quinn has been named
General Manager. Both
positions are currently held

Two directors to
replace Murphy

by James Murphy, Play-
house founder, who
announced his resignation
effective at the end of the
current 1979 season. Miss
Taylor-Smith and Mr. Quinn
will begin their appointments
in November; 1979.
Miss Taylor-Smith, al-
ready known to Playhouse
audiences as an actress, was
selected from 21 applicants.
Marc Quinn, a recent gradu-
ate from the University of
Waterloo, is currently associ-
ated with the Playhouse as
Director of Operations.
"We are most enthusiastic
about these two appoint-
ments", said Mr. Amos,
"and look forward to their
artistic and administrative
leadership at the Play-
' house."
