Some of them also received other awards as well. The green star award is the first year level and the red star award is the second year level. (Photo by Langlois) Brussels cadets win awards The Brussels Cadets got awards and promotions when an awards night was held in Brussels on Tuesday. Receiving promotions were Kevin Nichol who was promoted to Sargent Master Warrants Officer, Michael Cherry who was promoted to Cadet-Lance Corporal; John Vandenberg who was promoted to Master Warrant Officer - Chief W arrant Officer; Susan Lynn who was promoted to Cadet-Lance Corporal and Dave Vanden- beg who was promoted to Sargent. Receiving other awards were Dave Vandenberg who recieved an non-commission officer award, Kevin Nichol who received a Warrant Officer award and John Vandenberg who won his commanding officer award. Rosemarie Vandenberg was presented with an award for the cadets for outstanding achievement by a first year cadet corps. Winners of the first level green star awards were Jim Brown, Maryanne Scott, Sherri Heibein, Chris Conaboy, Donna Elliott, S. Shoemaker, Jim Scott, Danny Cherry, T. Boon, Velma Elliott, T. Glanville, Dean Rutledge, Margie Raymond, Chris Langlois, P. McArter and D. Knox. Red star award winners were Lance Corporal S. Thornton, Lance Corporal P. TenPas, Lance Corporal M. Cherry, Lance Corporal S. Lynn, Cadet D. Brown and Cadet D. Dobson.
