Presbyterian Church enjoyed
the hospitality of Mrs. Jack
Jenkins in her home on May
1. Mrs. Golley, president
opened the meeting reading
Psalm, Chapter 121, verse 1,
following with hymn no 54.
Mrs. Keith Moffatt was in
charge of devotions, pointing
out that many of us are like
Martha, too busy, with too
many worries. Mary was
thought, (by Martha) to be
doing too little, but she was

delegate from Cranbrook
W.I. to the Officers
Conference of the Federated
women's Institutes of
Ontario held on May 1, 2 and
3rd at the University of
Waterloo. Mrs. Gordon
Engel also attended and was
a delegate for the East Huron
District.
Visitors with Mrs. Lylle
Gordon on the weekend were
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zimmer,
The girls' floor hockey
team from Grey Central
played three games against
Howick Central this week.
The first game was 5-4 for
Grey, the second 9-8 for
Howick and the third 17-7 for
Grey.

arrival of their daughter,
Shannon Christine, on
Saturday in Listowel
Hospital.
The Grey boys' team lost
to Howick 6-4.
In intramural floor hockey,
the Grade 7 & 8 Canadians
defeated the Leafs 5-3 thus
winning the championship.
In the Grade 5 & 6 girls'
championship game, the
Islanders defeated the
Canadians 5-2.
Grey Central Home &
School Association presented
a talent night on May 3 & 4.
Both nights were a big hit
and the talent was very good.
The money raised at this
event will be used by the
Home & School to provide
extra activities and materials
or the school.

expressed. They are over
populated, greatly. Proverty
is almost unbelievable, sel-
ling their children and being
slaves to the government.
Many have been poorly
treated in Canada and the
