Monday evening April 9 at the Ethel Community Centre, for the Ethel Women's Institute card party, Twenty tables were played, winners were - Ladies' High - Mrs. Jim Hart; Low - Mrs, Jean Connely; HIgh Gent - Ross Stephenson; Low Gent Adrain Verstoep; Anniversary nearest to Easter - Mr. and Mrs, Ken Crawford; Door prize - Mrs. Wilfred Strickler; Lucky chair - Bill Eckmeier. The Institute women also had an Easter draw,They sold tickets, on a 10 lb. ham which was won by Bob Bremner. Seaforth Ontario Feb. 2,4.0-9 Mar, 24-0-9 Apr. 2-1,0-9 Mrs. Alex Hail of Atwood won the turkey and Mrs. Bev. Raycraft of Monkton won the Easter Basket. The Ethel W.I. annual meeting was held in the Ethel Community Centre on Wednesday, April 11. Members had a pot luck dinner. Myrle Bowes visited with Mrs, Myrtle Shaw of Brigden, Miss Christine Swiety of Brampton visited Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray and family on the weekend. Mrs. George Roland of Mount Bridges and Ed Ro- lard of Listowel visited with Mrs. Douglas Wardlaw on the weekend. Mr. & Mrs. William Dob- son's family were all home on the week-end.
