Next in line was Dennis Newby with a high triple of 712 and Dennis had the highest high single for the night with 313. High ladies of the evening were Jane Draper with a high single of 223 and Judy Adams with a high triple of 565. The local Bantam team participated in the first St. Clements Minor Hockey Bantam tournament on. Sat. and Sunday. Their first game at noon on Saturday, was against Kincardine. The home town was victorious with a 4-2 win. Scoring honours were shared by Kevin Deitner and Todd Wheeler who scored two goals each. Assists went to Steve Knight, Kevin Wheeler and Todd Wheeler. They played their second game at 8:45 on Saturday night against Woodstock de- feating them 10-3. Scoring for Brussels were Kevin Wheeler with 2 goals, Kevin Deitner 2, Brian Wheeler 2, Steve Knight 2, Todd Wheeler 1, and Dotig Mc- Arter 1. Oshawa scored the opening goal in the first period but Brussels came back to score two goals before the period ended. The second period was scoreless. Oshawa came back to tie the score 'in the thrid. Brussels scored what proved to -be the winning goal with 2:25 remaining in the game. They were able to ward off a six-man attack by Oshawa and claim the "A" Champ- ionship trophy of the tourn- ament. Todd Wheeler picked up 2 goals and Kevin Bishop 1. Assists went to Kevin Leis, Neil Mitchell and Steve Knight on the Wheeler goals The Bishop goal was unas- sisted.
