Mrs.Leslie Knight was
hostess for the February
meeting of the W.M.S. with
12 ladies present. The leader
Mrs. Mac Engel used the
theme "Love" and read a
poem "God's loving hand".
The Hymn "0 love that casts
out fear" was sung.
Mrs. Engel gave a reading
on "St. Valentine", "When I
survey the wondrous cross"
was sung with Mrs. L.
Knight at the piano.
Following a prayer the new
study on "Contemporary
China" was introduced by
Mrs. Stuart McNair. She
used a skit with parts taken
by Mrs. Clare Veitch, Mrs.
W. Strickler, Mrs. Gordon
Engel, Mrs. Earl Dunn and
Mrs, Jim Hart.
Highlights of the Annual
Presbyterial meeting in
Stratford were given by Mrs.
Ross Thomson. Mention was
made of the Guelph Con-
ference and. Spring and Fall
meetings which could be
held in Monkton and Cran-
brook,
Mrs. Stuart Stevenson pre-
sided for the business when
minutes were read by Mrs.
Jack Knight and treasurer's
report given by Mrs. Veitch.
The Day of Prayer service
will be held on March 2. Mrs.
Stevenson, Mrs. Dunn and
Mrs, John Vanass are the
committee to plan for the
Forester's banquet,
A thank you was read for
S.S. supplies sent to the
Yukon. Roll call was some-
thing of interest about China
to-day. The Synodical is
be .ing held in Goderich this
year. The meeting closed
with a poem "We are the
builders", the Hymn "The
King of love my Shepherd
is" and the Mizpah
Benediction. Lunch was
served by the hostess
assisted by Mrs. Mac Engel
and Mrs. Gordon Engel.

United Church.
