(Brussels Post Photo) A good time was had by all! GIRLS 13-16? Well, that category had to be changed to 13 and over when there weren't enough entrants in the Polar Daize race. Winners were from left, Marg. Garniss, Janette VanDorveen and Betty Graber. ACTION AT THE CURLING BONSPIEL Eighteen, rinks participated in the Lions Curling Bonspiel on Monday. The overall winner was the Doug Rathwell rink from Listowel. The Bonspiel was part of Polar Daize. Another rally took place at Auburn on Sunday and this could also could have contributed to a smaller entry. About $400 was raised Mr. Blake said. This 'money is to go towards community projects. The first place winner was Susan Heard of Wingham who won a trophy and $25 cash. Bob Copeland took a cash prize of $15 and Lloyd Heibein who played a hand for him took the trophy as second place winners. Dan Reddon of Listowel placed third winning a trophy and $10 cash. Harold Parkhouse, John Richmond and Doug Conley were the fourth, fifth and sixth place winners each receiving $3 cash. There was also about $150-$200 in door prizes given away. The Leo Club had approxi- mately 150 people at their pancake breakfast on Sunday and raised about $150 from it. During the course of the breakfast the Leos ran out or sausages And Leos president Brenda Knight said they had to get Bill Stephenson out of bed to open up his store.
