Last Monday night found the local Atom team going to Blyth where they defeated the home team 5-1. Dean Wheeler scored the hat-trick for Brussels with Paul Tolton and David Wheeler scoring singles. Assists went to Marty Rutledge, David Wheeler, Dean Wheeler. Tuesday night found the Midgets travelling to Hensall where they were defeated 2-0. The Juveniles were at home on Tuesday night to the Kurtzville team. „In a good game of hockey • the score was tied 2-2 at the end of the first. Kurtzville scored the only goal in the second. They also scored early in the third to take a two goal lead. Brussels came back with two goals to tie the score but Kurtzville scored what proved to be the winner with 1:07 remaining in the game to' win 5-4. Scoring for Brussels was Chuck Stewart, Brad Knight, Bill Smith, Tim Prior. Assists went to Brian Deitner, Alan Bragg, Bell Smith, John Richmond. On Wednesday the Atoms were at home to Hensall and were defeated 4-1. Brussels' only goal was scored by Dean Wheeler unassisted, The Bantam team was at home to Seaforth, who de- feate'd the home team 6-3.
