All levels of skating took part. The skaters in the badge level competed ac- cording to badge and age level, the intermediates ac- cording to their figure and dance level and the seniors according to their freeskate and dance level. A total of 124 people are registered skaters in the Club. The following are the winners in the badge level. Beginners, age 3, Krista Keffer, Carla Johnston, Trevor Schwark. Beginners, age 4, Danny Blake, Heather MacDonald, Jennifer MacDonald. Be- ginners age 5, Margaret Jarvis, Jason Koetsier, Kevin Alcock. The above skaters were judged by two p,Ine s of judges who are qualified skaters. They were; Jill McCutcheon, Catherine Cardiff, Carol Wheeler, Cindy Evans, Michelle McCutcheon and Leanne Cossitt. The intermediates .and seniors were judged by Mrs. L. Kerr and Mrs. V. Wild, both of Wingham, and Miss P. Anstett of Clinton. The winners were presented with a trophy and gold, silver and bronze medals. Novice Dance Linda Axtmann & Chris King; Darlene Bishop and Bradley Black am Sugg and Brenda Richmond. These couples danced the Dutch Waltz and The Canasta Tango. The trophy and medals were pre- sented by Mrs. J. Evans. In the Intermediate Dance, with the 14 step and European Waltz winners were: Bonnie Evans and Rob Cardiff; Cindy Evans and Brenda TenPas. Mrs. V. Black presented the trophies and medals. In the Senior Dance with the American Waltz and Tango winners were: Catherine Cardiff and Michelle McCutcheon; Carol Wheeler and Kevin Wheeler; Karen Alexander and Jill McCutcheon. The trophy and medals were presented by Mrs, S. Machan. The Novice Ladies' Free- skate Trophy and medals were presented by Kevin Wheeler and winners in that category were: Karla King, Carol TenPas, Nanci Ben- nett. The Junior Ladies' Free- skate Trophy and metals were presented by Mrs. E. McCutcheon to: Brenda TenPas, Brenda Richmond, Darlene Bishop. The Intermediate Ladies' Freeskate, Trophy and medals were presented by Mrs. A. Cardiff to: Jill McCutcheon, Bonnie Evans. The senior Ladies Free- skate Trophy and medals were presented by Miss L. Cossitt to: Carol Wheeler, Michelle McCutcheon, Catherine Cardiff. In the Junior Men's Free- skate, trophy and medals were presented by Mr. J. Dillow to: Bradley Black, Chris King. The Intermediate Men's Freeskate Trophy and medels were presented by Mr. Z. Schwark to: Kevin Wheeler , Rob Cardiff. The winners in the Inter- mediate and Senior events have qualififed to enter the Interclub competition being held in the Brussels, Morris Not even high winds and poor visibility could keep more than 170 snowmobilers from completing a 100 Kilo- metre snowarama on Sunday afternoon to raise money for crippled children. The snowmobilers' , who wound through Colborne Township to Auburn, Blyth and back to Clinton, raised $12,000 in pledges for work with the children. Doug McCreery of Wood- slee made the major con- tribution, raising $1,086 in pledge money. He won a Bulova watch, donated by_ Anstett Jewellers in Clinton, for his money-raising efforts. The . warden's challenge trophy, donated by Champion Road Machinery, for the municipal council with the largest amount of pledges, was captured by Titillett Township. The snowmobile ride was made possible by the co- operation of landowners who allowed drivers to cut across their property and by the and Grey Community Centre on Feb. 25. There will be 21 clubs participating in the competition. This should be an enjoyable day for all who would like to come out to watch local skaters. , There were alot of new skating categories in the competition this year and six new trophies were acquired through the sponsorship of the Royal Bank the Cranbrook General Store, the Noel Birds , the Geo. Wheelers and the Bill Cos- sitts and Mayer's Jewellery Store. The Brussels Figure Skating Club have planned a Family Carnival for March 24, and a dance for April 21, with the Entertainers.
