The first place winners were Glenn Snider and Janet Ankers with a total of 1224. Bob Smith and Edie Burt were second with a combined total of 1197 and third place went to Harold Smith and Maxine Parnail with 1192. Winners for individual high scores were for the ladies Maxine Parnail with 215, Heather Smith 207 and Eve Smith 214. For the men, the top scorers were Vic Capitano 284, Doug Lee 268 and Brian Ankers 239. Hidden score winners were Janet Ankers, Edie Burt, Ruth Butler, Wayne Smith, Brad Taylor and Jim Burt. Scoring goals for Zurich were Rick Schilbe, Overholt and Grant Lee. Assisting on the goals were Ken Smale, Overholt and Steve Haberer. Midway through the second period, Hensall got one back with Lloyd Allan scoring from Dan Crerar and Jim Ferguson. Four minutes later, the Buckeyes got that one back with Smale finding the range. Schilbe assisted. In the third period, the Sherwoods outscored Buckeyes 3-2 with Bill Chipchase scoring the first of the Hensall goals. Brian the Campbell and Greg Camp­ bell assisted. The Buckeyes came back with two goals to clinch the victory as Ron Rader scored from Overholt and John Graham. Tim West notched his first goal as a Buckeye with 6:49 remaining in the game. Kim McKinnon assisted. The Sherwoods came back to almost tie the game as they scored two goals in a span of a minute and thirty seconds. Rick Ingram and Allan scored the goals with Red Campbell, Crerar and Ingram picking up the assists. A total of fifteen penalties were called in the game. J, TEMPLEMAN Achievement Day for the Perth 4H Homemaking club “Essential Edibles” was held Saturday morning at Kirkton Community Centre. Staffa No. 1 4-H girls presented a skit, Gee, your lunch looks terrific, with all members participating. Staffa No. 3 4-H girls set up an exhibit on “Meatless Main Dishes” with Marg Smale giving the com­ mentary. Leaders for Staffa No. 1 club are Mrs. George Vivian and Mrs. Spencer Jeffery and for Staffa No. 3 Mrs. Dalton Smale and Mrs. Ross Balfour. Among those receiving county honours were from Staffa No. 1 club. Pauline Jordon, RR 2 Dublin and Marlene O’Reilly, RR 2 Dublin. Receiving provincial honours for completing twelve clubs from Staffa No. 3 club was Sharon McKin­ non, RR 2 Dublin. Darlene Murray, Mitchell, Staffa No. 3 club and Debbie Winteringham, Mitchell from Goulds No. 3 club each received advance honours for sucessfully completing 18 4H Homemaking clubs.
