Mrs. Riverview Wl Continued from page 15 Reports were given on the convention held in London on November 1 and 2. The theme of the convention this year was “The Family In A Changing Society”. Mrs.Ivey Adams reported on the first day’s proceedings and touched on the highlights of the program. Angela Armitt head of the Extension Ser­ vices at the University of Western Ontario gave an address on communication. Scholarships were presented to those eligible. .Mrs, Stuart McCallum reported on the events of the second day. Next year’s convention will be held in Perth County on the same dates as this year. Ken Bridges led the Devotional period basing her meditation on the account of the Good Samaritan as found in the Book of Luke. The members each related something kind a neighbor had done for them. A panel of ladies discussed the educational material that is available to every member through the Presbyterian Record. The Glad Tidings, the General Assembly and W.M.S. an­ nual reports. In this connection the ladies are again un­ derwriting the subscription to the Record to every household in the congregation. A Ladies Chorus sang “Jesus is my Neighbour” and a reading by Mrs. Merkley concluded a very worthwhile program which WE ARE WITHDRAWING ONE OF OUR SALES ITEMS To Protect wasarrangedby the program committee. The ladies of the congregation are to be asked for donations to a bakeless bake sale. The usual friendly social hour followed with Mrs. Mary Pryde and Mrs. Jack Pryde in charge. Parkhill By MRS. HARRY SHEPPARD Mr. & Mrs. Wilmer McLinchey attended the funeral of Mr. Ralph Williams of Port Huron, Saturday. The pallbearers were six nephews, Glenn and Morris Webb, Dwayne and Kenneth McLinchey, James Turner and Ivan Sharrow. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Personals Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Wilmer McLinchey were their daughter Mr. & Mrs. Ron Carrothers, Thedford and Mrs. Ralph Williams (Stella Webb) and her daughter Mr. & Mrs. Alton Reid, Port Huron. Rev. & Mrs. Paul Webb and David, Toronto and Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Webb, Grand Bend visited with Mr. & Mrs. Verne Sharpe, Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Newt Hayter and Willis Hayter, Sarnia dined with Mrs. Gladys McLinchey Sunday evening. Joe Varley and Mrs. Marion Mollard spent the weekend with her sister Mrs. Saunders of Tavistock.
