President Mrs. Art Hodgins was in charge assisted by Mrs. Jim Cunningham, acting as secretary in the absence of Mrs. Wor­ thington. The roll call, “A product of Canadian Industries I am wearing,” brought many different and interesting answeres. During the business, Mrs. Wilmer Scott reported on the “Luncheon is Served" -project to take place November 15. An invitation to visit the Cloverdale Women’s Institute at Parkhill November 22 at 2 p.m. was accepted. The roll call for the Cloverdale meeting will be, “Name a favourite hobby and show a sample of it. Mrs. Jack Givens will demon­ strate dried flower arrangements as part of the program. Mrs. Harold Hardy gave an excellent report of the London Area W.I. convention held last week. Mrs. Michael Heffernan, convener of Agriculture and Canadian Industries had an interesting program, Ethel Donaldson gave a “Thanksgiving year round on the farm. Velma Hardy gave a paper on the growing of earth worms as a business. A reading “A Farmers Creed" was read by Mrs. Heffernan. Linda Ropchan, as a guest, explained how Zehrs sales slips can be turned in to the served lunch, Mrs, Harold Mrs. Jack Millson. A record donated by Larry DeCaluwe was won by Jim McNaughton of London. Everyone reported a good time and plans are already being made for another dance next fall. Home and School . The McGillivray Central Home and School Assoc, are striving to raise funds for a creative playground and to boost this project, they are holding a Fashion Show by “Stretch and Sew” of Lon­ don, Monday evening, November 20, at the school. Modelling will be done by Betty and Tom Shoebottom and their children, as well as two of their nieces. Tickets are available from Home and School members, so please support this com­ munity project. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Bruce Henry and family entertained on Sunday for Bruce’s birthday and had as their guests, Mrs. Mary Henry of Craigholme, Mrs. Edna Rosser of Craigwell Gardens Apts., Ailsa Craig, Mrs. Evelyn O’Neil, Lucan, Mrs. Bogart and Charlie Cameron, Poplar Hill. Mr. & Mrs. Pete Groenewegen were in Toronto, Saturday, to attend the wedding of the latter’s cousin, Rose Anne Vis to Gavin Stevenson, both of Toronto. Mr. & Mrs. Rupert Williams entertained their family Sunday to celebrate birthdays for their son, Wayne Williams, Lobo and grand daughter, Janet McCombs, of Elginfield. Mrs. Eleanor Goulden, Toronto was a week end visitor with her brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Dorothy Nott. Turf Club Dance The Lucan turf club staged a very successful dance Saturday evening in the Lucan Community Centre. “Country Unlimited” supplied excellent music for dancing and “Scott’s1 Chicken Villa" catered for the lunch.
