With the President Mary Koohy, presiding, letters were read from the Beaver Colony leaders and the minor hockey league executive, asking for assistance with the children in each group. Cards of thanks were read from Kay Neil and Gordon Hotson. The treasurer, J, Alex Young, gave his monthly financial report which showed that the club is quite solvent. Following a report by Edythe Murdy regarding catering for the Christmas party, a "show-of-hands vote” favoured the Shillelagh. The dinner will be served in the downstair room at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 14. Members are asked to be prepared to get their tickets for the dinner and for the Simcoe trip within the next two weeks. Birthday greetings were extended to Iola Goring, Winnifred Jolliffe and Elnora Raycraft. The president asked each member to try to bring a card for Lon Phillips as he will be celebrating his 95th birthday, today, Thursday. Euchre was enjoyed by members of the Sunshine Group with winners as follows: Lady’s high, Kathleen Neil; lone hands, Margaret Allen; low, Anne Kish; man’s high, Marjorie Steeper, playing a man’s card; lone hands, Alex Young; low, Lon Phillips. The Busy Buddies con­ tinued the "Papier Tole” and Ceramics crafts. Lunch was provided and served by Mildred Hirtzel, Roeola Hotson, Iva and Murray Hodgins. In this week’s games the Greens downed the Blues 5-2 and the Reds won 7-2 over the Yellows. Don Murray scored three times and singles were add­ ed by Gord Moon and Bill Haskett in the Blue victory. Rick Thomas and Chris Mouratzen were the Blues marksmen. Wl bake sale successful Brad Taylor’s hat trick led the Red victory. Scoring in single fashion were Gary Gibbs, Jim Thomas, John Pollard and Brett Fairweather. Mike Wraith scored both Yellow goals. The three stars in the two games were Don Murray, Gord Moon, Chuck Fredin, Brad Taylor, Mike Wraith and George Ewer. Brad Taylor leads the scoring parade with 15 points.
