Resolutions for the convention November 1 and 2 were read. The November meeting will be the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Dashwood W.I. The ladies decided not to cater this year. Mrs. Eben Weigand reported the Fall Rally. Mrs. Irvin Rader explained “Log Books”. A home decorating course will be held in Exeter, October 31. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Rader and Mr. & Mrs. Glen Rader and family attended the Joint event at Brinsley By GORDON MORLEY BRINSLEY A joint Harvest Thanksgiving service was held in St. Mary’s church, Brinsley for the three churches, Parkhill, Ailsa Craig, and Brinsley, Thanksgiving Sunday. Lunch was served by the ladies following the service. The flowers placed in the United Church Sunday by the family were from the funeral of the late Mrs. Marion Sholdice, formerly of McGillivray township. We are glad to know that Russell Grundy son of Mr. & Mrs. David Grundy is back home and able to be at school again. Mrs. Lois Whittard, Niagara on the Lake, spent the week end with her father Mr. Cecil Ellwood. Mr. & Mrs. Bob Hodgins, Terry and April were at Mr. & Mrs. Jim Morley’s Thanksgiving Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Laverne Allison and Mrs. Marjorie Steeper called on Mrs. Violet Allison and Kathleen Morley Sunday afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Earl Marcy, Ancaster visited recently with Mr. & Mrs. Earl Lewis.
