Times-Advocate, 1978-10-05, Page 14Page 14 Times-Advocate, October 5, 1978 Hay plans discussions Landowners in Hay township will have the op portunity to express their opinions about Hay's proposed official plan at a meeting to be held on Mon day, October 16. According to Gary David son of the Huron County Planning Department copies of. the draft plan were mail’ ed to all land owners in Hay this week. If a property owner did not receive a plan, copies are available at the Hay Municipal office and will also be available at the meeting. Davidson stressed that the plan is only a draft and that the purpose of the meeting which is to be held at the Hay township Hall in Zurich at 8 p.m. is to receive com ments about the draft. He said there has been about a year"s work gone into the draft plan. Davidson added that dependent on the number and type of objections received at the meeting, it could be up to a year before the plan is implemented. Most will run again in Hay With the upcoming mu nicipal elections six weeks away, three out of five members of Hay council have indicated that they will be seeking re-election. Reeve Jack Tinney who announced previously that he will be seeking the position of Warden for the county, says he will seek re election for Hay’s reeve. Tinney will be finishing up his fourth year as the head elected official for the township and has served Hay for 16 years. Deputy-reeve Claire Deichert announced that he will be seeking re-election. Councillor Don Geiger said he enjoyed his first two years on council and announced that he will be seeking re election. Councillor Lionel Wilder said he was unsure whether he would be seeking re-election but that he will have decided in a week’s time. Lloyd Mousseau was unavailable for comment. Nominations for this year’s election open on October 16 and close on October 23. The advance poll will be held on November 4 while election day is set for November 13.
