MR. AND MRS. JOHN LAWSON Laurie Ann Arnold and Robert John Lawson were united in marriage September 9, 1978 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Bend with Father Boyer officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Arnold, RR 3, Dashwood and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lawson, Exeter are parents of the groom. The matron of honour was Brenda Relouw and bridesmaids were Judy and Jane Klopp, Glenda Fisher and Sue Lawson. The best man was Peter Lawson and guests were ushered by Randy Weber, Larry Haugh and Den­ ton Gaiser. The soloist was Brenda Creces and Sharon Soldan was organist. After a wedding trip to Mexico the couple has taken up residence in London. A delicious pot-luck lun­ cheon was enjoyed prior to the meeting. Mrs. Marshall Dearing welcomed all, especially any newcomers and conducted the business. It was decided to co­ operate with the Evening Unit * in serving a congregational dinner in October, the date to be an­ nounced later. A regional meeting will be in Chiselhurst U.C. October 17. The Bazaar is November 18and LheOctober meeting is called for 1:45 p.m. instead of the usual 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Jack Thomson read the Scripture taken from John 4. Mrs. Leslie Thomson read a poem — "The Stranger at the Gate’’ followed by prayer. Rev. James Forsythe spoke on the 7-week Bible Study, which he plans to conduct soon. It has been given the name “Kerygma” which means the message or proclamation of the ‘‘Good News.” — a study of the whole Bible and how it relates to us today. Mrs. L. Thomson followed with a recipe for Kerygma pie, and the Benediction. The hall was decorated with family photos and floral tributes presented by relatives and friends. A plaque and federal government certificate were presented by Huron- Middlesex MPP Jack Riddell and Perth MPP Hugh Edighoffer.
