Staff photo Fined $273 for speeding • One of the largest speeding fines ever levied in Exeter court was imposed by Justice of the Peace Douglas Wedlake against a Huron Park man, Tuesday. Robert Gregory Stiles was fined $273 or 27 days on a charge of speeding at a rate of 170 km in an 80 zone. He was given 30 days in which to pay the fine. Stiles was operating a motorcycle. Other drivers paying speeding fines included Richard Wayne Preszcator, RR 1 Exeter, $13 for a speed of 90 km in an 80 zone; Kenneth John Parker, London, $22 for a speed of 69 in a 50 zone; Charles Ort- manns, RR 3 Exeter, $135 for a speed of 139 in an 80 zone; Steven J. Hugh Robert Stride, Kitchener, was fined $108 or 10 days on a charge of careless driving arising out of a single car accident in which he was involved on June 3, and Glenn F. Grover, Strathroy, was given the same penalty for careless driving as the result of a two- car accident in which he was involved on May 14. Fined $79 or eight days each were Bill Berchard, Goderich, and Lockhard Orby Cook, RR 2 Goderich, on charges of being in­ toxicated in a public place. They were both charged on June 12 in Exeter. Infractions under 1 Highway Traffic Act resulted in fines for the following: Frederick M. Denomme, Zurich, $28 for failing to stop at a stop sign; Marilyrt Marie Schmitt, Centralia, $28 for not having a valid driver’s licence; Cameron L.
