The guest speaker was Rev. Grant Mills. There was special music by the Sunday School Choir. Carol Allen and Elaine Pym played the piano for the choir and Marg Pym ac­ companied the choir with her guitar. Nancy Cooper read the scripture. The offering was taken by Allan Pym, Michael Grubb, Catherine Johns and Doug Cooper. Church services for the month of July will be a joint service at 10:00 a.m. alternating between Thames Rd. and Elimville. The first service will be held at Thames Rd. Institute meets The Elimville Women’s Institute met recently at the hall. The meeting opened with the “Opening Ode and Mary Stewart Collect.” Mrs. Lome Johns presented Lenore Coates with a gift for the completiQn of six 4-H Homemakiri^ clubs and her County Honors. Mrs. Wm. Morley gave a report on the Officers Conference she attended recently in Waterloo. Miss Ruth Skinner presented a gift to retiring treasurer Mrs. Freeman Horne and a gift will be presented to retiring secretary Mrs. Emerson Penhale. Mrs. Lome Johns gave a report on * the district meeting. Mrs. Jerry Grubb reported 95 tickets to the play house at Grand Bend. The family and Consumer Affairs committee was in charge of the programme. Mrs. Bev Parsons opened this part of the meeting with a poem. Mrs. Parsons introduced Mrs. Gonie-Tak of the Town & Country Homemakers. Mrs. Howard Pym thanked the guest speaker. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Cooper and family visited with Mr. & Mrs. Ken Lovie, Fathers’ Day. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Routly attended the 90th birthday party for their cousin Mrs. Mary Hodgson, held in the Lucan United Church basement, Sunday. Mrs. Mildred Crago, St. Marys visited with Mr. & Mrs. Bill Routly for a few days. Mr. & Mrs. Al McDonald, Owen Sound spent the week end with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Cooper and attended the 25 wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Don Parsons. A large number from the community attended this event at the Kirkton-Woodham Com­ munity Centre. It was the 50th anniversary of the first reunion. Mrs. William Rohde at­ tended the first Switzer reunion July 6, 1928 at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Switzer West Mitchell Road, Blanshard township. Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hargreaves attended the 114th Day family reunion held at the new Community Centre in Embro, Sunday. Murray and Brent Dawson and William Rhode spent part of last week fishing at the former’s cottage on Lake Timiskaming.
